The Islandview House is an homely warm house situated in the heart op Upington, on the banks of the Orange river where an unexpected experience awaits you. Nestled on the banks of the majestic Orange River, nature is on our doorstep away from the hustle and bustle of city life. Here you can relax and listen to the Visarend (Fish Eagle) and Hadidas calling. If however, you prefer to relax in our private and tranquil haven, there is a large swimming pool at your disposal.
There are interesting activities such as the Kalahari flower season which when in full bloom is definitely not a sight to miss. There are also the Augrabies waterfalls, standing as a gesture of tranquility, beaming as one of natures purest displays of sheer power. Then there is the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park with its night time 4 by 4 routes. Where reddish bodies of sand and scrub diminsih into infinity with herds of springbok, gemsbok, eland and blue wildebeest following the seasons, where imposing camel thorn trees provide shade for the huge black-mane lions and vantage points for leopard.
