Naries Namakwa Retreat, a beautiful & romantic hideaway in the heart of the Namakwaland, offers a unique EXPERIENCE with several pleasant surprises all year round! The Northern Cape Tourism Authority describes us as "one of the best kept secrets of the Northern Cape Province". Our guests become life-long friends. Hike or Cycle our rugged mountainous terrain, set against some of the most spectacular scenery the Namakwa region has to offer! If photography is your passion, turn this unsurpassed colours, views and textures of our region into lifelong impressions....

The newly tarred road, linking Naries to Springbok, provides quick access for exploring the greater Namakwa Region, ranging from the magnificent Richtersveld in the north to the (working!) diamond mines and shipwrecks in the west. During the famous Namakwa flower season, Naries provides the perfect venue - right where the floral action is! To avoid disappointment, please make sure to book well in advance!

We are very proud to announce the addition of three new "Namakwa Mountain Suites" to our accommodation portfolio. These domed cottages are designed to echo the ambiance of the Namakwa-veldt and the dwellings of the people of our area. It combines elegance with simplicity in a most unusual way! Set on the very edge of the Spektakelberg - escarpment, it overlooks the barren coastal plains below, setting the stage for some of the most spectacular sundowner experiences offered anywhere.

The Old Cape Dutch Manor House has also recently been fully refurbished; now offering 5 stylish en-suite rooms as well a new dining room, a swimming pool and a large veranda. Naries also hosts a newly built, self catering facility; ideal for families. Please contact us for detail.

"The self catering cottage was in a luvly setting and the surrounds were beautiful iwith the flowering daisies etc. The appointments in the cottage were up market , however the cottage was obviously new and I would think that some blinds/curtains/mats on the windows in the lounge would make the living area a bit cosier. The welcome by the receptionist was very warm and needs special mention."
