Choosing accommodation for your desert adventure? If you have a hunger to interact with some of Africa’s most dangerous creatures, the Nossob rest camp should be your first choice. The camp is neatly located within the dry riverbed of the Nossob River, in the Kgalagadi Transfrontier National Park, Africa's top wildlife tourism destination.
Amongst the other sparsely located camps in the park, Nossob camp is surrounded by tree savannah and is well known for its extravagant predator sightings. The secret lure that the camp has on the wildlife in the park, related to Nossob’s distinctive location - the sparse vegetation and natural water in the park causes a concentration of animals along the river beds. The Auob and Nossob Rivers are therefore prime spots for viewing the animals as well as bird life.
In addition to your chances of seeing cheetahs, leopards and the magnificent black-maned lions, campers have the opportunity to witness the seasonal movement of gracious yet large herbivores such as blue wildebeests, elands and red hartebeests. Nossob also offers a variety to its campers on how to actually view the wildlife. You can take your pick from; night drives, day walks and even the famous Nossob 4x4 Eco Trail
With regards to a selection of accommodation, Nossob offers one and two bed roomed guesthouses. The camp has restricted freezing facilities thus Nossob does not provide freezing services to holiday makes. Nossib does however have a shop on site which sells handy essentials such as; fresh meat, dairy products, bread and alcohol.
