Terra Rouge is a new establishment situated a mere 45km from the entrance to the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park - formerly known as the Kalahari Gemsbok Park.
As well as offering traditional Namibian style hospitality, a warm welcome, comfortable accommodation and an interesting environment to explore during a short stay, Terra Rouge also makes an ideal Namibian stopover point while visiting the Park for a day. It is important to note, however, that the Namibian Border Post has seasonally restricted opening hours which are subject to change and should be verified beforehand.
Terra Rouge offers exclusivity and a unique farm-style experience for a maximum of 12 Guests accommodated within the House and in two adjacent self-contained Bungalows. All the rooms and bungalows have en-suite facilities and air-conditioning, are uniquely decorated and include a well-equipped kitchen or cooking facilities and outdoor barbecue (braai) area for self-catering.
About 1km distant from the house and bungalows, we also have five large campsites, each of which can accommodate up to 8 people. The discreet spacing of the campsites ensures privacy and the modern ablution blocks include open-air showers and even flush toilets giving a real sense of Kalahari adventure, but with a touch of home comforts to make life that bit easier.
Activities and facilities available at Terra Rouge include swimming, bird-watching, sundowner drives, unguided walks and, of course, finding out about the sheep-farming activities upon which the property is based.
