Rose Cottage Gariep Dam

Rose Cottage is situated in the Gariep Dam, approximately half way between Cape Town and Johannesburg. This is an ideal place to break your journey and enjoy the most beautiful surroundings as well as the crisp clean air of the Great Karoo. Rose Cottage is ideal for the weary guest looking to break their journey - or those wanting to break away from the city rush and spend some time enjoying the activities that the area has to offer.

All rooms have brand new Samsung Air conditioners as well as new "Simonz" beds. Safe undercover parking. Outside you will find a small plunge pool and a stunning braai area - perfect for those summer evenings. Hammerkop Swallow and Rooibekkie have got a small lapa outside for your comfort.

Rose Cottage Hammerkop:

Fully equipped two bedroom home with kitchen, small dining area and lounge.

The lounge leads out onto a long undercover old fashioned "stoep" that has a full view of the lush garden, lapa, pool and braai area. TV with SABC channels, HiFi, CD, DVD and VCR library. Both rooms have new "Simonz" beds with "ice white" linen. Two double sleeper couches in the double sized living room, privacy is possible with draw back curtains around these couches.

Rose Cottage Rooibekkie:

Spacious bachelor unit. The room is furnished with two single beds that form a double bed. En-suite bathroom and toilet. The unit opens up onto two-seater lapa and cozy private braai area. Great value for money.

Rose Cottage Swallow:

Swallow is a self standing Granny flat which can sleep up to four guests. It has an open plan lounge and kitchenette that includes a sleeping area with two new "Simonz" beds. The main bedroom has got an en-suite toilet & shower. Private entertainment area with a four- seater "Lapa" and braai area. Guests have access to communal pool and bird feeding area.

Rose Cottage Blue Crane

The lovely Blue Crane Unit is the most recent extension to our Rose Cottage Guesthouse. The unit is a comfortable-sized, family-styled house; consisting of three bedrooms, two bathrooms and can sleep up to six guests. All bedrooms are furnished with factory-direct beds, finest in quality and first in comfort. Ice white linen.

The rest of the house includes two lounges, one being a smaller family-styled lounge, and the other a huge entertainment-styled area with indoor braai and adjoining kitchen.

Although Blue Crane has no view of the dam, it is situated a mere 5 minutes' drive from the dam, and only 1km from the main Rose Cottage complex. No swimming pool on the premises. Lovely luscious garden and under cover parking. The unit is air conditioned.
